Oracle

Yala protocol's price oracle system is built upon a multi-source data aggregation philosophy. The system currently integrates two major decentralized oracle networks: Pyth Network and Switchboard, providing real-time price data support for the YU/USD trading pair.

The core concept of this dual-oracle architecture lies in diversifying data sources to mitigate single points of failure while enhancing the accuracy and reliability of price data.

Supported Oracle Networks

Pyth Network

Pyth Network specializes in providing high-frequency financial market data for DeFi applications. Its distinctive approach involves sourcing price information directly from first-party data providers—exchanges, market makers, and other primary market participants—rather than relying on secondary market data.

YU/USD Price Feed Configuration:

Pyth's price data operates through a proprietary push model where data providers push price information directly on-chain, ensuring prices reflect the most current market conditions.

Switchboard

Switchboard provides customizable decentralized oracle infrastructure, allowing developers to create and manage custom data feeds. Its On-Demand Oracle model offers flexible data acquisition solutions for DeFi protocols.

YU/USD Price Feed Configuration:

Switchboard's on-demand model means price updates trigger when needed, optimizing cost structure while maintaining data freshness.
