# Berries Rule - Yala's Reward System

## What is Berries and Ice Berries

**Berries** are the main points you earn through on-chain activities, such as:

* Opening a Vault with YBTC and MetaMint $YU
* Providing liquidity (e.g., YU/USDT)
* Holding $YU in wallet
* Participating in the Stability Pool
* Completing DeFi marketplace tasks

**Ice Berries** are bonus points earned from off-chain or community-related actions, such as:

* Completing Social tasks
* Earning Referral bonuses
* Participating in Team-up events

Rewards will be granted based on multiple factors, including Berries, Ice Berries, and user behavior.

## Earning Berries

Berries are earned based on your on-chain activities. Each action contributes a fixed amount of Berries to your total rewards:

* Holding Yala on Ethereum/BSC: **0.5/ Berries / USD / hour**
* Opening a position using YBTC as collateral: **0.05 Berries / USD / hour**
* Minting $YU via MetaMint with YBTC collateral and $YU debt: **0.6 Berries / $YU / hour**
* Holding $YU in your wallet: **0.1 Berries / $YU / hour**
* Depositing $YU into the Stability Pool (SP): **0.15 Berries / $YU / hour**
* Providing liquidity to AMMs (token pairs): **4\*0.05 Berries / $YU / hour**
* Completing **DeFi Marketplace** tasks earns Berries at a rate of X × 0.05 Berries per $YU per hour. The coefficient **X** is displayed in the **DeFi Marketplace** section.

> **Notes:**
>
> * All Berries calculations are based on the completion time of the on-chain transaction.
> * Rewards begin accumulating immediately for holding $YU.
> * For all other actions, Berries start accruing after the first 24 hours.
> * Positions must remain active to stay eligible for rewards.
> * Yala reserves the right to change the above rates

## Earning Ice Berries

***Connect Wallet***

1. Earn 10 Ice Berries for connecting your wallet for the first time.
2. This reward is limited to one-time per wallet

***Follow and Engage on Twitter:***

1. Follow Yala on Twitter: Earn 10 Ice Berries. One account per wallet.
2. Engage on Twitter: Earn 1 Ice Berry per retweet (max 10 per day for each).

***Daily Check-in:***

Earn 1 Ice Berry daily by checking in via the "Berries & Leaderboard" page. Resets every 24 hours.

***Referral***

When you use your invite link to invite friends, you will earn **8% of the points** they generate from opening Vaults with YBTC or MetaMinting $YU. For example, if your teammate earns **100 Berries per hour** through MetaMinting $YU, you will receive **8 Ice Berries per hour** from them.

## **Solana Berries Features**

Solana Berries and Ice Berries currently operates independently from Ethereum and can be selected in the BerryBoard. The Team Ups & Lucky Draws feature is not supported on Solana at the moment.  It currently supports check-in, DeFi marketplace activities, connecting a new wallet , community activities for Ice Berries, and holding YU in the wallet.\ <br>

## **BSC Berries Features**

BSC Berries are now integrated into the Ethereum network. Holding YALA on BSC will generate Berries that are credited to your Ethereum account.
